RESULTS for last week's duplicate evenings were: 26th January: 1st Sam and Tom Swannack 61.11 per cent; 2nd Laurie Jarrett and David Savage 59.63 per cent; 3rd Val Bridges and Keith Roy 58.15 per cent.

29th January: 1st Tony Harris and Paul Williams 64.06 per cent; 2nd Rob and Sam Swannack 61.11 per cent; 3rd Churchill al Temimi and Keith Roy 58.85 per cent.

The recent bridge match between Monmouth and Abergavenny Bridge Clubs at Mitchell Troy Village Hall was an enjoyable occasion, with Monmouth winning 5-3. Such matches excellent provide opportunities to meet other players.

Churchill's series of six Bridge Lessons at Bridges Community Centre has now been completed successfully and, at the final lesson, participants were awarded certificates

Those attending said they were keen to continue with regular afternoon sessions of bridge. 

As a result, the club has decided that, during February and March, afternoon bridge sessions will continue at Bridges on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month from 2–4pm. 

Each afternoon will be duplicate style, but at a relaxed rate. in order to give time for bidding and hand play discussion and advice.
