A GREAT deal of fun was had by all when St John's-on-the-Hill hosted Clifton College and Stirling Primary School from South Africa in a combined hockey and rugby festival.
Stirling Primary from East London in South Africa is one of St John's exchange schools that visits annually and year 7 students from St John's visit South Africa each year for a three-week cultural experience.
For the first time this year it was decided to combine teams in a rugby and hockey festival and St John's were grateful to Clifton College for bringing over their players to join this event.
The standard of sport was exceptional and a large number of parents turned out to enjoy fun yet competitive matches.
The friendships forged during such events mean a great deal and it is hoped that this will become an annual event.
