MONMOUTH Cricket Club are delighted to be running their All Stars Cricket programme once again, this summer.
The sessions, for boys and girls aged five to eight years old, begin at Monmouth Sports Ground on Friday, May 8, from 5.30pm.
All Stars is the England and Wales Cricket Board’s (ECB) entry programme designed to introduce children to the sport.
Every child that registers will receive a personalised t-shirt, bat, ball and backpack.
The activity and game-based programme is suitable for all skill levels, providing children with the foundations to begin a lifelong love of physical activity and cricket, while making friends in a safe and enjoyable environment
Children are guaranteed eight weeks of jam-packed fun, activity and skills development.
Dates for the eight All Stars sessions, on Fridays between 5.30pm and 6.30pm at Monmouth Sports Ground, are: May 8, 15; June 5, 12, 19, 26; July 3, 10.

The club is also running eight Dynamos sessions, at the same times for 8-11 year-olds, where each week there will be a focus on a different cricket skill.
Meanwhile, the club’s penultimate pre-season indoor training session for senior players takes place this coming Sunday (March 29), at Haberdashers’ Monmouth School Sports Club on Hadnock Road, from 11am to 1pm.
There is not any club training scheduled for Easter Sunday and then the club’s final indoor nets session is being held at Monmouth Leisure Centre Sports Hall on Old Dixton Road, on Sunday, April 12, between 11am and 1pm.
