Monmouth runner Emma King is taking part in the Great North Run on Sunday 15th September in Newcastle and is again raising funds for ABF The Soldiers' Charity.
Emma has been fundraising for the charity in memory of Jamie Gunn and is passionate about it after seeing all the amazing work they do with soldiers past and present and how they supported Jamie's family after he lost his life in Afghanistan.
So far, Emma has raised £17,000 for the charity by taking part in the Virgin London Marathon in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
Last year, she was nominated to carry the Olympic Torch for her charity work, which she carried through Pontypool.
The Soldiers' Charity also asked Emma to become an ambassador for them, which is something she is very proud of and will continue to support the charity moving forward.
