SIR,
I met some Swiss visitors to the village of Skenfrith a few years ago, and happened to mention that we were raising money for the church organ.
I was surprised to receive, a few weeks later, 50 euros in the post from Sylvia and Alex Helfenberger, who had remembered our conversation and wanted to help out.
I wrote back and thanked them, and have kept in touch ever since.
When I mentioned in correspondence that we were now raising money for repairs to a window, they sent another 20 euros.
I would just like to say through your newspaper what wonderful people we have visiting Skenfrith.
