Luck was on the side of the Border Counties Vintage Show, held at Vauxhall Fields this weekend as the weather held out this year for a successful show.
More than 800 exhibitors took part in the event exhibiting their vintage cars, military vehicles, motorbikes and tractors to the public.
Events included Horse logging, and parades of animals, vintage cars, steamers and tractors, along with the military vehicles which this year included a Pink Panther, better known as a 'Pinkie', a Series 2a Landrover, modified for the SAS in the late 1960s to use out in Oman.
Show Organiser Ian Harper said he was very pleased with this year's show: "It went better than the last four years and hopefully we will make some money this year. The attendance on the Sunday was terrific and I would like to thank Claas agent Harold Johns for lending us all the exhibition machinery including as quads, gators and loaders."
