Recently, 24 students from Monmouth Comprehensive School took part in a swimming gala against John Kyrle Comprehensive, Ross-on- Wye and Haberdashers Monmouth School for Girls. This is a competition involving individual and team swims and is for Years 7, 8 and 9. The gala was a huge success and a fun afternoon of swimming was had by all involved. Competition was very tough and the school's strong squad of swimmers had some close races throughout the afternoon, particularly in the relays. It was very pleasing and promising to see such a fantastic display of talent across the board and it seems likely that a lot of the youngsters competing will go on to a very successful future in swimming. Monmouth Comprehensive were the overall winners of the competition.
