Budding entrepreneurs at Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools have won two awards at the annual Young Enterprise Wales Finals.

The Sixth Form students took first place in the Sustainability and Financial Management sections at the virtual awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 18.

Previously, the Monmouth students had won the Best Company of the Year, Sustainability and Marketing prizes in the Young Enterprise Wales Area Finals.

As part of the Young Enterprise initiative, the students created a company, called Sterling, making handmade rings by upcycling silver-plated spoons.

The company of girls and boys in Monmouth Schools Sixth Form worked hard throughout the year on the project and processes.

The Monmouth students represented the region – and the schools – with great maturity in the Welsh finals.

It’s the end of the Young Enterprise process for the Monmouth students, who wish the very best of luck to all the schools who have made it through the UK finals.
