Four gardens in Monmouth will be opening as part of the National Garden Scheme on 18th May.They have selected Monmouth & District Foodbank as their local charity for the open day.Homemade teas and cakes will be on sale at two of the gardens, North Parade House (Hereford Road) and St John’s (Glendower Street) with the Foodbank receiving the proceeds.

Foodbank manager Martin Howlett says ‘we are delighted to be chosen as this year’s local charity. The money raised will help us to assist people in crisis from our community with emergency food parcels.’Please don’t forget to bring some money for your delicious homemade teas and cakes!
