A FAVOURED pub in Monmouth, The Gate House, has officially been sold, as of yet we are unaware if the business is going to continue as a commercial venture.

The pub was the Barely Mow until 1993, when it changed its name and was a family-owned bar and restaurant. It is situated next to the river Monnow where people can absorb the picturesque views of Monmouth.

The sale price of the pub was originally listed at £800,000 but it was reduced to £695,000.

The property was housed in a four-storey Georgian fronted building, offering a modern interior with an extensive bar and dining area which includes a full commercial kitchen along with two ensuite double bedrooms and a self-contained two-bedroom apartment.
