Two new listed building consent applications have been submitted to Monmouthshire County Council, prompting a call for public comments over the next 21 days.
At 14 Lower Church Street, Chepstow, proposals include the partial removal of a rear flat roof, the conversion of a side window into a door, and several minor internal alterations aimed at improving the layout of the historic property.
Meanwhile, in Monmouth, flood damage has triggered a separate application for Miles Morgan Travel at 39 Monnow Street. Plans outline an internal refresh and repair programme following recent flooding, with any external fascia repairs to be carried out strictly on a like-for-like basis to preserve the building’s historic appearance.
Full details are available on the council’s planning portal, and residents are invited to submit representations via [email protected].
