PETER Fox, MS for Sir Fynwy Torfaen, joined Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s leading breast cancer charity, to Wear It Pink in the Senedd on October 16.

Wearing pink to help change the future of breast cancer.

Now in its 25th year, Wear It Pink has raised over £45 million since 2002. The campaign’s fundraising has gone towards funding life-saving science and life-changing support for everyone affected by breast cancer.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Breast Cancer Now is encouraging everyone in Wales to check their breasts or chest. It could save their life.

It’s as simple as TLC:

  • Touch your breasts
  • Look for any changes
  • Check anything unusual with your GP

Peter Fox said: “I was proud to join Breast Cancer Now’s Wear It Pink event in the Senedd to show my support during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

“It was also an opportunity to hear about how we can work together to change the future of breast cancer in Wales in Monmouthshire and Torfaen.

“Breast cancer impacts the lives of so many people in our community. So, this October, I’ll be encouraging people across Sifr Fynwy Torfaen to take part in Wear It Pink.

“By joining in, they can help raise money for science and support in Wales, and they can encourage people across Wales to check their breasts and chest using Breast Cancer Now’s TLC guidance of Touch, Look, Check.”
