CATHERINE Fookes, MP for Monmouthshire, is inviting local residents to her first-ever ‘Pint with Cath’ event, giving Monmouthshire residents the chance to speak to her in an informal setting and raise local issues.

The drop- in event will take place in Chepstow on Wednesday August 26 from 6pm to 7.30pm.

The event is part of Catherine’s commitment to making politics more accessible and ensuring residents have regular opportunities to speak directly with their local MP about whatever matters to them.

Catherine has previously hosted supermarket surgeries and coffee mornings across Monmouthshire, with ‘Pint with Cath’ offering a different way for people to get in touch and discuss the issues that matter most to them.

There are no pre-planned agenda and no preparation needed.

Catherine Fookes MP said: “As your MP, I want to do politics differently and be as accessible as possible. I’ve held supermarket surgeries and coffee mornings before, and now I’m looking forward to welcoming residents to my first ‘Pint with Cath’.

“People are free to stop by anytime, and don’t need to be there from start until the end.

“I look forward to seeing as many people as possible and discussing how we can make Monmouthshire an even better place to live.”
