Mike Jode (pictured above) co-drove Ben Williams to a fine seventh overall, second in class, on the recent Ditton Priors Stages, in the Loadmac Wye Valley Graphics ABT Products Lancer Evo 6.
The event was the first for many years, after the roads have undergone a major work.
Despite being on the wrong tyres all day for the slippery conditions, they had a trouble free run.
Not so lucky were Colin Webb/Will Rogers in their RP Joinery Nova.
An 'off' on the opening test resulted in a stage maximum, but very quick times on stages two and three saw them climb the leaderboard, but a big off on the next stage, when they hit a brick building, caused considerable damage and instant retirement.
Jason Morgan/Tom Marrott had an excellent run to third in class in the Winner Bikes, Peugeot 106
Last weekend saw Darren Pinchen/Karen Watts in the Gibsons Proton Satria and Nigel Jenkins/Will Rogers DBS Cars Nova tackle the Tempest Stages.
The 10 stage event attracted over 100 entries, but both crews retired on stage four.
Pinchen retired with a broken shaft and Jenkins had gearbox problems.
