Small-sided football is set to return bigger, better and cheaper than ever to Monmouth after it was announced that the town's popular five-a-side football league is to be re-launched early in the New Year.
The Monmouth Leisure Centre will again play host to a league on Monday evenings and Leisure Leagues, Europe's largest provider of 5 and 6-a-side football, will be taking care of the running of the league.
Leisure Leagues' Senior Manager Chris Rowntree commented "The league in Monmouth was one of our most popular leagues, and we are extremely excited about bringing the action back to the area.
"Leisure Leagues are working tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of the re-launched league".
Anyone signing up to the newly revamped league - which kicks off on January 12 - can look forward to receiving a free top quality kit, while the normal £25 entry has been waived.
The cost of the matches will be coming down too, as Chris explained: "You only have to turn on the news to see the hard times we live in. The price of the games in the old league was £23, but now they are set at £20. Anything we can do to help people enjoy a game with their mates and keep fit in the process, has to be worth doing."
"We aim to provide our teams with the best service possible," he added. "There has been a lot of interest already for the new league and I would urge any teams that are thinking about entering to do so as soon as possible as places will be very limited."
