WAITROSE in Monmouth, has officially reopened and welcomed back customers into their branch after suffering severe damage from Storm Claudia.

The branch was one of many businesses on the Monmouth high street that was hugely impacted by the flooding.

The supermarket opened bright and early today (Thursday December 11) at 7.30am and are open until 9pm today.

On November 19 they provided an update which said: “All Partners are thankfully safe. We are grateful to them for their continued hard work and resilience, and also to the emergency services who attended the store during the flood.

“We are committed to supporting our Partners and the local community as we all recover from this event. We will keep our customers updated as we move through the coming days."

After teamwork and resilience the shop is back up on their feet again just in time for Christmas to cater for the Monmouth community.

Their opening hours are: Sunday 10am- 4pm; Monday-Friday 7.30am-9pm; Saturday 7.30am-8pm.
