A Monmouth mum has been organising a Christmas gift with a difference for her daughter.
Yvette Adwick's daughter, Sergeant Hazel Savage, is two-and-a-half months into a six-month deployment to Afghanistan with 26 Regiment Royal Artillery.
Yvette is filling a pair of army trousers with home comforts including sweets, sauces and slippers, and has had them signed by townsfolk including Police Sergeant Dick Bull (above).
Sgt Savage, 30, has been with the army since she was 17 and has served in Bosnia, Kosovo and Iraq. She is currently on her second tour of Afghanistan.
