Superdrug, the town centre chemist and pharmacy that was forced to close after the flooding in November, will reopen on Monday March 9.
The devastating flooding which overwhelmed the town’s flood defence barriers laid waste to all the premises on the lower half of Monnow Street.
Some are still waiting to re-open but Superdrug has finally turned itself around and restocked and made a new consultation area for GP services, will be opened by the Mayor of Monmouth, Cllr Jackie Atkin.
The 9.30am ribbon-cutting ceremony will see the fully cleaned shop and newly resealed floor open once mor for business.
The temporary cabin that has been providing a limited service will be removed Monday evening during an emergency full closure of Monnow Street between 7pm and 9pm .
The residents of Monmouth will be relieved to see yet another business open following the flooding and a sight of a return to a normal shopping experience for the town
