Last week was National Poetry Day and to celebrate Kymin View got to welcome children's author Charlotte L Taylor to do a poetry workshop with our children in Year 5 and 6.

Charlie has written a series of books for children aged 7-11 as well as a range of picture books. She has won several awards for her work. As a local author (she lives in the Forest of Dean) Charlie was keen to share her love of reading and poetry with a local school. The children spent the afternoon looking at spell poems and were able to use their imaginations to create some truly disgusting spells- they all loved it!
