SIR,
The Monmouth Citizens Advice Bureau Fundraising Committee is holding a Charity Promises and General Auction on Friday 8th October at Bridges Community Centre.
The emphasis will be on a fun evening with lots of interesting and unusual lots.
So far, some of the items we have been promised include a week in a holiday cottage in Cornwall, some original artwork by a local artist and a guided tour of Londons legal district, The Inns of Court, with lunch.
I would like to appeal to Beacon readers not only to support our auction on 8th October but also to consider whether they would like to donate items to the auction.
You may have been helped by the dedicated team of volunteers at the Monmouth Citizens Advice Bureau and want to say thank you.
Promises do not have to be grand or ambitious, a promise of a few hours babysitting or gardening? A home made Christmas cake? Pots of homemade jam? A floral arrangement?
You may also have some more general items you might want to donate; unwanted gifts, or other items that are currently cluttering up your attic.
If you would like to donate an item or make a promise please do get in touch with me on 07710 230646 or email me on [email protected]">[email protected]
