SIR,

It was great to see the photo of Monmouth Town Colts FC in the Beacon showing as it did a piece of our football club's history and the football history of the town.

This Saturday (28th September) at our game with Penybont (2.30pm kick off), I am inviting all past players to come to the game with free entry and join us in the clubhouse afterwards to celebrate that history, meet up with old friends and maybe make some new ones.

Our manager Steve Jenkins will be around to answer any questions about his playing career and also about his plans for the team this year.

I've also invited all of our 150-plus junior players too so that we can celebrate our past and also catch a glimpse of our future.

All of your other readers are welcome too, as they are when we play HMS Monmouth on Tuesday 1st October at 5pm with all proceeds going to a local charity that seeks to rehabilitate and re-skill ex-servicemen.

Should be a good game too!
