Budding entrepreneurs at Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools are celebrating a hat-trick of accolades in a business competition.

The Sixth Form students won the overall Best Company of the Year honour in the Young Enterprise Wales Area Finals.

In addition to winning the overall main prize, the business-minded Monmouth students carried off the Sustainability and Marketing awards.

As part of the annual Young Enterprise initiative, the students created a company, called Sterling, making handmade rings by upcycling silver-plated spoons.

The company of girls and boys in Monmouth Schools Sixth Form was led by two Managing Directors - Harri Williams and William Leitch.

The students have worked hard throughout the year on the project, gaining so much experience about the world of business and the importance of communication and working together as a team.

The Monmouth students can now look forward to representing the region at the Welsh finals.
