Overmonnow Primary School were chosen to take part in the South East Wales Netball Tournament at Caerleon University.

They were one of 10 teams chosen to take part from all the schools in South East Wales.

This is a massive achievement in itself and a great compliment to the girls as they put in so much hard work and are so keen to play and learn.

It was a fantastic opportunity for the team to take part in an event like this.

In the first round in the morning, Overmonnow won two of their games and lost two.

They then went in to a play off in the afternoon for fifth and sixth place, which they won 7-3 and therefore they ended up placed fifth.

All the girls that that took part played really well and should be very proud of themselves.
