THE first triathlon event will be held at the National Diving and Activity Centre in Chepstow on 29th September.
The Wye Not Triathlon will be held at the Tidenham centre to raise money for St David's Hospice in Newport.
The event will be made up of a 300 metre swim, a 10km bike ride and a 2.5km trail run. The entry fee is £35 and the minimum age for entry is 15.
"If you have ever wanted to take up the challenge of a Triathlon event, this is the one for you, and if you are an experienced triathlete, we offer you the challenge of a sprint event," say the centre.
"The participants will have a safe, clean swim in the waters of the National Diving and Activity Centre (wet suits not compulsory) and then a lovely ride near the Welsh borders and Forest of Dean. The event is completed by an off road run along the footpaths around the centre. With full safety support, electronic timing and a great atmosphere, this is an event not to be missed."
