Acrobatic gymnasts Eva Cliff and Joshua Carron were called up by the Welsh Acrobatic Squad to represent Wales at last weekends Inter Regional Championships in Southampton.
The Grade 1 Mixed Pair had not competed at a National Level and were very honoured to have been selected for this event which sees some of the best Acrobatic Clubs in Britain battle for medal position.
Competing at such a large event for the first time, both gymnasts were nervous but did not let this show through their beautifully choreographed routine.
They were rewarded with a huge score of 25.6 which saw them take the Silver Medal in their section.
Coaches Sue Howells and Charlie Buckley were ecstatic with the result and are now looking to trial the pair for inclusion into the Welsh Squad structure and increase their skill level to progress to Grade 2 next year.
Meanwhile, Women's Artistic Squad coach Bexie Johnstone was busy preparing two of her young gymnasts for the Welsh Women's Development Squad Trial, which takes place twice a year at the Welsh Gymnastics Head Quarters in Cardiff.
This year saw nearly 70 gymnasts from across Wales trial for the few coveted places.
Six-year-old Poppy Wayman was one of only nine gymnasts in her age group to be selected and will now travel to Cardiff to train with the National Coach every month.
Bexie said: "We are all very pleased that Poppy managed to secure a place in the National Development Squad. Our gymnasts have only been training for a little over a year and the standard is so high within Wales that they have had to work very hard."
Poppy and her team mate Nyree Williams were also selected to attend a master class with Olympic medallist and Dancing on Ice Star Beth Tweddle.
The girls both thoroughly enjoyed their evening with her and are now back in the gym working hard after taking on the advice that she provided.
