Usk Cricket Club fell to a humbling nine-wicket defeat by Ammanford last Saturday (11th August).
After being put into bat by the visitors, Usk were all out for 134 in 46.2 overs.
Openers Mike Kear (31) and Mark Tamplin (22) gave the home side a solid start but when Kear was dismissed at 69-1, it started a batting collapse with the only other resistance coming from Sam Morris, who hit 19 before being trapped LBW by Matthew Roberts.
Matthew Fisher did most of the damage for Ammanford, finishing with the impressive figures of 6-22 while there were wickets for Alun Evans (two) and Matthew Donoghue.
Tom Robinson struck early in the Ammanford innings, dismissing opener Rhodri-Huw Davies for a single, but Rhydian Harries (65 not out) and Alun Evans (62 not out) were able to knock off the required runs with more than 16 overs to spare.
