Monmouth Town Under 12s added to their goal tally by smashing in nine against Undy but needed long periods of possession in the midfield to draw an Undy defence of six players set to kill the game.

After 20 minutes the threaded passes of midfield maestro Lewis Davies put Joe Baylis one-on-one with the keeper, Joe was taken out and a penalty was awarded, cooly slotted home by Joe B.

The defensive line was beaten twice more by the speed and skill of the Monmouth attack, but a couple of errors at the back left the game four-two at the break and still not settled.

Then in the opening period of the second half the goals flowed. Joe Baylis bagged his normal hat-trick, there were two from Tom Walker and Henry Williams, one for Joe Pemberton and for man-of-the-match Lewis Davies.

The game ended a great warm spring morning in good spirits. Job done, second in the league and one point behind the league leaders.
