Sudbrook CC hosted Caldicot town in an East Gwent League match on Sunday 15th December.

With Sudbrook holding on to the top spot of the U12s league table, they were always going to be a tough team to beat, having won 10 of their last 13 games played, with only one loss and two draws.

With 32 points under their belt, they needed points here to gain some space from table neighbours Garden City, who had 31 points but still had a game in hand.

Seventh-placed Caldicot Town were always going to be the underdogs in this match, but put up some fierce opposition and gave Sudbrook a run for their money with some great play from all players.

The final score was 8-2 to Sudbrook CC, Elliot Powell was referee.
