JAMES Harrison had a consistent weekend in this year's British GT Championship by taking two 19th place finishes in the competition's opening two rounds.

Harrison, who is based in Llanvair Discoed near Shirenewton, has entered this year's British GT Championship with Academy Motorsport in an Aston Martin GT4. and is sharing the number 62 car with teammate Chris Webster,

The pair finished in 19th place in rounds one and two, which helped the car to fourth in the Aston Martin (AM) GT4 Challenge in the first race, before taking the third step on the AM GT4 Challenge podium in the second at Cheshire's Oulton Park.

The pace of the Aston Martin GT4 in Harrison and Webster's hands kept the car two and three laps down in rounds one and two respectively, a strong showing considering the pace difference between the Aston Martin GT4 and the race-winning GT3. Over the course of qualifying, the faster GT3s were about 10 seconds faster a lap.

The championship heads to Rockingham with a two hour race at Rockingham on Sunday 3rd May with Harrison competing again in the Academy Motorsport number 62 car.
