The table-topping clash between Portskewett & Sudbrook and Chepstow visitors Thornwell R&W ended in an honours-even 3-3 draw at Mathern.
That leaves the former still leading East Gwent Division One by a point with a game in hand.
Sudbrook CC downed Monmouth’s Rockfield Rovers 6-3 to go third, with the visitors staying fifth but hoping to beat their rivals’ 2nd team away in the Benevolent Cup semi-final a week on Saturday.
And at the bottom end of the table Undy Athletic 3rds hit Caldicot Town 3rds for six without reply, to go six points clear of the bottom two.
Outright Division Two leaders Underwood beat Thornwell R&W 2nds 4-0 away while second-placed Chepstow Town 3rds saw off visitors Portskewett & Sudbrook 2nds 6-2.
Tintern Abbey’s prayers for goals were more than answered as they thrashed basement boys Caldicot Castle 2nds 14-0 at home.
Redbrook Rovers lost out 4-1 at high-flying Bream Amateurs in the North Gloucestershire Premier Division, Matthew Bennetto scoring their consolation as they stay one of the bottom.
And their second string missed out 5-1 at home to fourth-placed Viney St Swithins 2nds in Division Two, Dan Heaven scoring for the bottom side.
