MONROSS Trailblazers remain in third place with one race remaining in the Herefordshire Cross Country league, following some fine individual performances at Westhope on Wednesday 8th July.

The race was held at Bulmers' cider orchards and featured several laps around the perimeter of the undulating fields.

As one of the shortest races in the series, this one is about sustaining a high pace until the finish line.

Following a fast, uphill start, the race descends the field to the road crossing point.

Andy Stephens, Luke James and Gavin Jones kept in touch with the race leaders, pushing hard to maintain their place.

The short, relatively flat course suited Luke and he finished a superb 8th place in 30 minutes, 18 seconds.
