Students from Monmouth and Coleford Tae Kwon Do clubs travelled to Cardiff to the Open Championship where over 1,000 entrants competed for honours.

Georgia Jones took gold in junior sparring while Darren Wood gained a gold in senior sparring. Mike Armstrong from Coleford took a silver in teams.

Club instructor Tony Farr also came away with gold after successfully defending his Welsh title.

Tony commented on his club's performance saying: "Everyone entering did exceptionally well, I am very pleased with their efforts on the day."
