MONMOUTH Town Reserves visit Goytre this weekend with the knowledge that they could jump to third in the table, overtaking their hosts, if results go their way.

Town’s reserves put 10 past Lliswerry in their last game, and have been in good form. They currently lie fifth in the league, but only seperated by one point from second-placed Risca who have a game in hand.

Goytre meanwhile have one more point than the Town, but a draw would see the visitors overtake them on goal difference.

Monmouth’s firsts have a rest weekend, as their planned game against Cardiff Met was postponed due to the students being in cup action.
