MORE than 50 girls playing for six teams played in Sudbrook CC Girls Football Club’s home meeting on Sunday.

The teams of Under Sevens and Under Nines from Abergavenny, Westfield, Malpas and Treowen were taking part in the South Wales Women’s and Girls League.

“All the players had a fantastic time,” said one of the organisers, Craig Carter.

“Girls football is on the up in Caldicot and surrounding areas.”
