The Chepstow and District Darts League season resumed after the Christmas and New Year break with a top-of-the-table clash in the 'A league' between Chepstow Football Club A and Chepstow Athletic Club A, prior to the game both teams were locked together on 12 points, and the football club were looking for revenge following their opening day defeat at the hands of their rivals.

The football club stormed into a 5-1 lead, before the Athletic club pulled it back, but were still trailing 7-5.

The football club held out and eventually won the match 8-7, with Dan O'Regan taking out a 115 checkout.

John Worsely hit a 109 checkout and a 180 as his team Village Inn B kept up the pressure at the top with a 9-6 win over the Burnt Barn Club A, Lee Ford also hit a 180 for the Sedbury team, they now sit joint second on 12 points with Chepstow Athletic Club A and the two teams meet next week.

In the other League A games Chepstow Football Club B beat the Burnt Barn Club B 12-3, and the Five Alls picked up their first win of the season as they beat the Huntsman Hotel A 8-7.

Severn Bridge Social Club kept up their 100 per cent record in the B league with a 12-3 victory against the Village Inn A, while Huntsman Hotel B were victorious 8-7 against the Two Brewers, with Tom Fuller hitting a 180 for the Brewers. The Kings Head won away at Chepstow Athletic Club B 9-6.
