SEVENTY from opener Scott Bailey and and 60 from Harry Hughes helped fire Chepstow 1sts to a 100-run South Wales Premier 2 win over Swansea Civil Service.

The hosts racked up 273 all out off 44.5 overs, James Bishop with 35 sharing an 80-run opening stand with Bailey.

And the west Walians were then dismissed for 173 in 42.2 overs, Lewys Jones taking three wickets, and Jason Dobbie, Rowan Snell and James Hall two apiece.

The 2nds also won by 77 runs at home to Blaina 1sts in South East Wales 3, Chris Archer with 46, skipper Tuhind Gavand 39, Josh Tregaskes 34 and Raahi Kumar 27 helping them to 210 all out in 44.3 overs.

Kumar then starred with the ball taking seven wickets for 27 off seven overs as Blaina were dismissed for 133 in 24 overs.

And making it a hat-trick of Saturday wins, the 3rds also won by 27 runs away to Bridgend Town 4ths in SEW 12.

Skipper Brent Harkins fired 67, Ollie Trepte 57 not out, Luca Goddard 53 and Philip Richardson 34 as they reached 228-6 in their 40 overs.

Sam Shepherd then fired 109 in reply, but the hosts were restricted to 201-8, Scott Williams including the danger man in his three wickets, backed by a Rajendra Chitnis brace.

Elsewhere, Liam Hurcombe fired 61 not out backed by Cameron Lee with 23 as Penallt & Redbrook beat Slimbridge 1sts by five wickets in Gloucestershire 7 at Pelham playing fields.

Ross Williams took three wickets and Rajesh SR two as the visitors were all out for 129 in 35.4 overs, with 133-5 reached in reply in 27.3 overs.

Penallt & Redbrook host Lydney on Wednesday night (May 27) in the Forest Hundred, while Chepstow host Panteg on Thursday in the Macey Cup.
