LOCAL football clubs, including Fishwick Cup winners Chepstow Town B, Nathan James Centenary Cup winners Severn Tunnel A and Gwent County League Division 2 side Mathern FC, have all held end of season award ceremonies recently.
At Chepstow's event, Sean Canavan was named Manager's Player of the Year, Nick Nesbit won the coveted Players' Player award while Dean Barnett collected two awards – the Golden Boot and Most Improved Player award.
Severn Tunnel's awards evening, held in Rogiet's Non-Political Club, saw Chris Owram voted Players' Player, goalkeeper Tom Pickin won the Young Player of the Year trophy while James Price also collected two awards, Most Improved Player and the Manager's Player of the Year.
At Mathern, Wayne Duffield scooped the Division 1 side's Golden Boot and Players' Player awards with Ryan Guscott winning Division 1 manager Lee Baker's award.
The Division 2 teams awards went to Sam Davies (Golden Boot), Scott Hollow (Players' Player) and Conor Perry (Manager's Player)
In the club's Gwent County League side, Luke Farley won the Golden Boot, Andrew Skuse was voted Players' Player and Alex Bell was name Managers Player of the Year.
