Gold from the hills of north Wales was brought home to Monmouth when Ben Morgan, a member of the Monmouth and Coleford Tae Kwon Do club, took the top award in the heavyweight section for sparring.

The inter-club competition in Chester saw more than 380 entries competing for honours, with Darren Woods and Tony Farr also representing Monmouth.

"We have had a lot of success in recent competitions," said 7th Dan Tony Farr, club organiser, "and for the effort members put in at Monmouth it is well deserved."
