Wyesham Wanderers travelled to Mathern on Saturday looking to build on last week's victory.
Fifteen minutes into the game, Wyesham were unlucky not to take the lead when Brett Cox's drive hit the post and rolled along the goal line, the Mathern defence then clearing the danger.
It was Mathern who took the lead through a swirling long range drive.
Mathern doubled their lead in the forty fourth minute when the ball found its way through the side netting, all twenty two players on the pitch shocked that the Referee awarded such a dubious goal.
The second half started with Wanderers looking to make amends for the first half and they scored almost immediately. Liam Radnor broke through the defence to slot home. Wyesham were then even more shocked when Radnor was sent off for no apparent reason other than going into a tackle strongly.
Wyesham spurned on by this setback found the equaliser on fifty five minutes with Brett Cox's cool finish. Jason Stephens went on to give Wanderers the lead when he smashed a loose ball into the net.
With only twelve minutes remaining a hopeful ball into Wyesham's goal area was somehow squeezed into the goal to pull the teams back level.
Wyesham pushed too many men forward when they had a corner on eighty eight minutes and paid the price. A quick break away goal looked to have given Mathern all the points so late on.
With the match coming up to full time Wanderers secured a point with the last kick of the game, Stephens again pouncing on a spilled shot to grab his second and Wyesham equaliser.
Wyesham's Tim Radnor said "I have to be proud of our boys for getting stuck in and battling back. It was a tricky match today but we still managed to come home with a point."
Wyesham Wanderers welcome Caldicot Castle to the show ground this Saturday. Kick off 2.45.
