The Monmouth Golf Club (MGC) first team, despite being without a couple of their stars, maintained good form to record a three-two home victory over Alice Springs on Wednesday 15th June.
Winners for the MGC team, sponsored by Monmouth's Le Gourmet butchers, were Victor Fisk, Duncan Wills and skipper Bruce Kennedy, while Alistair Morgan and Lee Knapper slipped to narrow defeats.
The points gained enabled the team to further establish their challenge for promotion to Division Four of the Gwent League.
