SIR,
A few weeks ago I read your paper and saw the article about the Welsh names of places being removed from the signs.
This is Wales, not England.
Who do these people think they are? And how on earth can the names on these signs be offensive to these people?
And with not much money about, why should we start spending money on new signs, when they already had the English names on them along with the traditional Welsh names?
I think some people think that because Monmouth is just in Wales they can get rid of Welsh signs.
All I would like is for some people to take this into consideration for next time.
