SIR,
I want the cost of politics and politicians cut by a third.
I want the powers that we have given over to Europe clawed back.
I want a cut in red tape and more freedom handed back to schools and hospitals, so should I vote Conservative?
I want a proper defence review, a fairer voting system (not European) and some positive steps on climate change, so should I vote Liberal?
I do not want another five years of liars and cheats and contempt of the electorate shown by the governing party, so Labour is out.
I also want a proper rail infrastructure, that does not have to be high speed, that restores some of the old networks; a sensible policy on immigration; and the banks to be taken to task for their abuse of people.
I want an education system that gets the best from children, and not this target- based dumbing down we have endured.
I want the streets of our cities to be safe to walk again and not crowded with drunken fools.
Most of all I want integrity back and people called to serve us, not fleece us.
Who then do I vote for?
Stephen Starkie
