SIR,

It appears that every time one opens a paper these days, it is nothing but bad news in relation to the well-being of what was Great Britain.

The alternative name is the UK but the countries involved do not seem very united.

If the Scots have their leading man's way, they will separate and already run a separate governing body, as do the Welsh.

We were always brought up to believe that 'divided we fall'. Why are these governing bodies so blind?

I honestly do not believe the Scots realise what it would cost them if they go it alone.

Cameron insists on giving incredible amounts of money away, if not to the EU then he is supporting unfortunate children in Africa.

We need so much money to support our armed forces, NHS, police etc, but we still carry far too many bodies paid from the public purse. When is the penny going to drop?
