SIR, We are on the verge of an MEP election. There are only four vacancies for Wales and each political party will put four candidates forward, it has no relevance to our MP David Davies as one votes for the party of choice. UKIP is doing exceptionally well around the country and, because 'what the people want is important to UKIP', unlike the other parties who only do what pleases them and not what concerns the people. Firstly: Europe. All three main parties want the UK to stay in the EU, but up to 50 per cent of British people want out. Secondly, immigration. UKIP wants to severely restrict the numbers, but in the EU we have no option. Thirdly, UKIP is against HS2. The only party to make a stand against it but 48 per cent of British people are against it too. These are the policies that UKIP supports as a reflection of what the British people want from their government. Surely, and logically the party in government should reflect the desires of the people who elected them? It does not appear to happen any more. Those of us who will support UKIP are not anti-European but anti-EU and require open and honest dealings by the UK government, which reflects what the voters want and expect.
