Welsh Water provided an update regarding the report of a leak on the road to Mitchel Troy’s Recycling Centre.
This was followed up after reports were made to Councillor Richard John and Councillor Jane Mckenna last week.
A Welsh Water spokesperson said: “We received a report of a leak on the road to Mitchel Troy Recycling Centre on Friday and attended the site promptly to assess the issue and plan the repair.
“Due to the unusually large size of the pipe, the repair required specialist fittings that are not standard stock and had to be specially ordered.
“Those fittings have now been delivered, and our teams began the repair first thing this morning. We will complete the work as quickly and safely as possible and thank customers for their patience while this essential repair is carried out.”
