WORK is now underway at Waitrose Café in Monmouth following the extent of damage caused by Storm Claudia last year.

The most recent announcement confirms the café will be opening in the coming weeks, however, a specific date hasn’t been given at the current time.

The popular café provided either a relaxing stop-off break when people were doing their weekly shop or a designated destination choice for residents to enjoy a cup of a coffee and cake.

Chris Bluett, Branch Manager at Waitrose Monmouth, said: “We’re really excited to be reopening our refreshed café in the coming weeks. Customers will enjoy an exclusive 100 per cent Arabica speciality coffee blend, crafted for Waitrose by Union Speciality Coffee Roasters, alongside a delicious variety of food options.”

This is positive news for Monmouth as we see another development made to Waitrose following the extent of the damage which the supermarket faced last November.
