Monmouth Town Under 19s played out a three-three draw with Croesyceiliog in their first game of the season.
The game could easily have gone either way but Monmouth may feel like it was a case of two points dropped after a penalty miss in the second half.
The goals were scored by Ryan Holder, George Riley and Tom Burns.
Next up for the Under 19s is a home tie against Treforest in the first round of the Welsh Cup on Sunday (25th September).
The Kingfishers' reserve team went into their game at Undy last Saturday (17th September) full of confidence and looking for their second win on the bounce.
Monmouth looked the better side and took the lead not long into the game.
At half-time the score was three-nil and the second half was much the same, as Monmouth comfortably picked up the three points, winning the game four-one.
The goals came from Jimmy Lee, new signing Jack and Tom Burns (two).
The reserves have picked up six points from a possible nine, which is a solid start to the season.
