Tributes are being paid to Monmouth's highly-respected garden designer, Cheryl Cummings, who passed away peacefully Thursday night following a short illness.
Cheryl was a Chelsea Medal-winning garden designer who was involved in many projects around town, including offering her services for free to the 2018 ‘DIY SOS - The Big Build’ project on Hereford Road along with many other traders, working alongside Nick Knowles and the team.
She was a longstanding member of the town’s Chamber of Commerce, chaired for 13 years by her husband, David.
Sherren McCabe-Finlayson, current President of the group said: “Cheryl was a highly-respected garden designer receiving commissions from across the country as well as here, in Monmouth. Wherever you met Cheryl, she always had a warm smile, lively conversation, and a wonderful sense of humour.
“Her talent will remain in evidence through her many private and public projects.
“We send our deepest condolences to David, their daughter Rhiannon, and son John at this difficult time.”
