Monmouth moves one step closer to its former self as Superdrug reopened its Monmouth store following severe flood damage sustained in November writes Charlie Hazell . After a period of refurbishment, the store will once again welcome customers back to the high street. The refit includes an expanded pharmacy space designed to further improve patient care and support the delivery of services such as Superdrug’s expanding face-to-face weight loss service.
The refreshed store will offer a wide range of health and beauty products alongside Superdrug’s trusted pharmacy services. Superdrug’s pharmacy-led weight loss service, now available in more than 160 pharmacies nationwide, combines clinical screening with personalised, face-to-face support from pharmacists, helping customers access safe and effective treatment with expert guidance.
Looking ahead, Superdrug also plans to introduce independent prescribers in stores later in the year, further expanding the range of healthcare services available to customers and enhancing access to professional support on the high street. The reopening also reflects Superdrug’s continued investment in physical retail and community healthcare. As part of its wider growth plans, the retailer has announced it will open 30 new stores across the UK in 2026, alongside a programme of store refits, reinforcing its commitment to the UK high street while expanding access to affordable health and beauty services.
Craig Watt, Superdrug’s Pharmacy Director, comments “We ensured continuity of care by operating a mobile pharmacy, and now we’ve invested in refitting the store, offering an even further improved store structure. We’re pleased to be reopening our Monmouth store and continuing to support the health and wellbeing needs of the local community.”
Other premises opening this week include Costa Coffee on March 13th. The Robin Hood has had to delay its opening due to a few “unexpected bumps” and hope to reopen next Friday, March 20th
