I am so disappointed that after all the hype and promise about the Olympic torch coming through towns and villages all over Britain, I discover that what it means is only if you are fortunate to live in a major town/ village.

Many of us at Dingestow were looking forward to the torch coming along the road nearby so we had arrranged to take some of our elderly to the roadside to see this "once in a lifetime opportunity".

Now we have discovered that not only does it go past in a vehicle which asks the question, how much would you see of it but then it will not even go past the village but on the dual carriageway.

We are aware that we could go to Monmouth or Raglan but then apparently places along the route have been set aside quite rightly for local children etc so for the elderly, it would be impossible for them to view the torch going by successfully.
